FPC to PCB Hot Bar Soldering

Hot Bar Soldering is a joining technique used for joining FPC’s to PCBs or Ribbons to PCBs, or wires to PCBs.
Typically, both components to be joined will be pre-soldered, but just one is also possible. A pulse heat power supply and hot bar bonding head will be used to create the join. The pulse heat power supply controls the heating cycle by using closed loop feedback via a thermocouple on the heater tip. The heater tip will heat up to a temperature high enough to melt the solder and create a reflow joint.
